There are various methods of using EasyBid on an Apple Mac
  • EasyBid OnLine you connect to the internet and use EasyBid whilst online.
  • Parallels (Costs) + Windows (Costs) + EasyBid
  • VMWare Fusion (Costs) + Windows (Costs) + EasyBid
  • VirtualBox (Free) + Tiny7 (Free) + EasyBid
  • Wineskin (Free) + EasyBid
  • Bootcamp (Free) + Windows (Costs) + EasyBid
Using EasyBid OnLine
You need to install a small (free) program called 'Remote Desktop Connection' which can be downloaded for your Mac from Microsoft here . EasyBid OnLine is covered fully here.

Parallels
Parallels is a software program that allows you to install a Windows operating system inside the Parallels system hence allowing you to install the normal EasyBid onto this Windows version. You will need to buy Parallels and also buy a version of Windows (XP/Vista/7). Parallels Website

VMWare Fusion
VMWare Fusion is a software program that allows you to install a Windows operating system inside the VMWare Fusion system hence allowing you to install the normal EasyBid onto this Windows version. You will need to buy VMWare Fusion and also buy a version of Windows (XP/Vista/7). VMWare Fusion Website

Virtual Box
VirtualBox is a free software program written by Oracle which allows you to install a Windows operating system inside the VirtualBox system. Instructions on how to install VirtualBox with a free version of Tiny7 (which is a cut down version of Windows 7) is available Here

Wineskin
This method is the trickiest and definitely needs Geek status to use. Wineskin is effectively a wrapper that allows the EasyBid Windows program to talk to the Mac. It is not a full blown version of Windows but a cut down to basics emulator that will only run the one program contained inside the wrapper. It is not a full version of Windows but is still fairly large approx 200MB. Instructions on how to install EasyBid with Wineskin is available Here

Bootcamp
Bootcamp is written by Apple and requires you to reboot your computer and choose to run it in Mac mode or Windows mode. You have to reboot to switch between the two. Instructions on installing Bootcamp are available on the Apple Website
